Kansas City?

DH and I are going to Kansas City while he's on predeployment leave. The only thing we know for sure is going to worlds of fun and probably the downtown district.

Any recommendations on where to stay? Or where not to stay? Any other fun things to do?

They have awesome BBQ there!!!! They also have a professional baseball team if thats your thing. Go to the plaza

I think we'll stay either 3 or 4 days. 1 day at worlds of fun, 1 day eating, shopping and going out downtown, and then another day to do whatever else.

All the hotels seem really expensive. Maybe it's just been a long time since I've been out!

Thanks! I wanted really good bbq. Looks like I'm going to gates! That looks like a lot of shopping that could hurt the checkbook!!

We're totally going there one night. I'm trying to find a hotel in that area to stay our last night there, so we don't have to mess with cabs and everything. But it all looks really expensive down there!

umm....I would suggest the Legends for dinner and shopping!!

Power and Light is really neat!! Worlds of Fun and Oceans of Fun is good too!! The Kansas City Zoo is nice!!!

Umm.....what about a Royals game? They just remodeled the stadium and the tickets are cheap
