Radar Detectors?

We're making a road trip in two weeks. I know they are illegal in some states and I have looked them up and Illinois is the only state that is illegal to have that and thats only for commercial vehicals. Do any of you have them? If so, which do you recommend? TIA

Theyre illegal in RI too.

I have one, its broken now, but they are pretty good. They dont work as well in fog or rain though, and it doesnt work around corners (obv lol) and thats where I always got caught, so be careful if youre on a road with a lot of turns, dont depend on it!

I've had a few of them.. But I can seriously tell you, they don't work..

When the cops shoots his radar at you, the detector goes off, but it's too late cause you're already clocked, the radar gun has hit you, and bounced back to him. He's got you before you pegged even know what's going on.

That's the reason why they're not illegal in all states; because they don't work.

But if you really want one, Cobra makes the best quality IMO..

Yeah in West Virgina too. They would have helicopters flying around all the time too see if any cars had them when we would drive back from Jacksonville.
