dd flying alone - Travel, Leisure & Vacations

my dd leaves this saturday to go and visit my Dad in Washington. She will be flying alone and I am wondering if there is anything I should send along with her to keep her from being bored on the flight? She is 10. She is only going for a week, so we are packing all of her clothes and stuff in a small bag that she can carry on. SHould I send her a snack? She has never flown alone, so I am no sure what to expect.
ETA: the flight is only just over 2 hours long.

Yes send her a snack, a book to read, and maybe a word search or something.

I'd send her with a snack, a book, a walkman and a gameboy (if she has one)

I used to fly alone all the time when I was that age. The flight attendents are really nice. The game boy is good, word searches, mad libs, a snack. she'll be fine. I feel asleep once and scared every one because they didn't find me until they were cleaning the plane to leave the airport. My family thought maybe I had missed the flight.
