Seattle
I've booked my flight and rental car to see DH furing his leave next month! I want this trip to be special, it will be the last time I see him before he deploys.
I've never been to Seattle, so I'm wondering if anyone has suggestions of places to see, great local restaurants, etc. Would I do better to get a hotel near Ft Lewis, or will they be more affordable in the city? Any suggestions for a nice B&B near Mt Rainier? Any help is appreciated!

Ft Lewis is about 45 minutes south of Seattle, so it'd be cheaper and easier (if he has to be at Lewis) to stay in Tacoma or thereabouts. Mt Rainier is also closer to the Tacoma/Puyallup area. I just heard about a neat new hotel... let me see if I can find a link for you.

Here you go...
http://www.hotelmuranotacoma.com/ Also, if there are things you want to see in Seattle, you MUST go to Pike Place Market. As much as its a cliche, it is completely necessary. Also, theres the EMP, the Experience Music Project, which is a music ?museum?, its kinda lame, but if its something you're into, then I suggest going. Um, there is TONS of stuff to do. Shows, plays, music, nature, all kindsa stuff. |
