American Airlines Question - Travel, Leisure & Vacations

Not sure if anyone has flown with them when they started making you pay for your meals but I have a question. DH and I have a flight out tomorrow and I know you have to pay for your meals so we are bringing our own snacks onto the plane. My questions is do we have to bring our own water too or are they still giving that for free. I stuffed my small back with snacks so bringing water would be a pain but I dont want to have to pay way too much money for water so I'm wondering if that is still free. TIA

They make you pay for meals?!

I know a few airlines that don't charge for meals but do charge for water - I'd take a couple of bottles to be on the safe side.

i dont believe they are making you pay to eat your meals on a plane. when did all that start. that stuff should be included in your airfare. thats ridiculous. i mean i hope they dont have anything against people bringing their own snacks. cause that wouldnt be fair or right if they did that. or is this just american airlines thats making you pay for your meals.

when i went on my first plane ride they included free meal, but they charged you for drinks they made for you

I'm looking at flights to Chicago through AA and the meals are included. Unless it's an domestic thing...

Yes, you can get drinks for free.... water, sodas, juice.... If you want a mixed drink, it costs money.... We just flew with them about 3 weeks ago to Jamaica, and flew San Diego to NY and thats how it was for both flights... HTH..

Ive flown Delta, AA, and Southwest and I have never had to pay for any of my meals/snacks. I always pack my own just becuase I don't like what they serve though. And I always take a huge jug of water just becuase I hate asking every couple of seconds for a glass of water.

we just flew northwest...which was crappy...but it was the same thing, you had to pay for meals but got the beverage service free excluding alcohol. it was the same with united. we took snacks on the way home. it made the flight so much easier. i would take some water if you have room. just in case. happy flying!!!

Well Hawaiian airlines doesnt do that but lots of airlines are doing that now. On our receipt it says that they have food for purchase so it's no longer free like it used to be. I know that getting regular water was free before and the bottled ones you had to pay for I'm just wondering if we have to pay for that now. I'm probably gonna bring water just incase I was just wondering. But yea if you look it up on the internet lots of airlines are no longer providing free meals or even free peanuts it's stupid. Maybe cuz you are flying internationaly they are giving you a free meal Sonia lol lucky you. I didnt like airline food much but I rather have that then nothing at all. Here these are the airlines that dont provide free food anymore... most of them anywayz.
