I don't know if I posted about this or not but when DH flew back to CA on Sunday, the airline lost his luggage aka seabag. He flew on American from here to DFW & then on United from DFW to SD. They (not sure which airline) had some problems in DFW (I believe) with the door not staying closedly properly so they were delayed. He wasn't sure if his bag even made it to DFW since we saw luggage including a seabag being unloaded from his plane in Corpus Christi after everyone was already boarded. The prior flight had already picked up their luggae from baggage claim.
So anyway, DH has only had 1 civilian outfit since then & refused to buy anything else. Thankfully he just called & they found his bag! He has to pick it up tomorrow since he is on duty tonight. Thank goodness they found it because he deploys in a little over a week. American said if he filed a claim with them after waiting 5 days, it would take 6 months to a year before he'd receive a check. United would only take 2 weeks! I am so glad they found his stuff! He just got new contacts that were $300. He ordered enough to last him the entire deployment. Plus it had all of his clothes, etc in it! He sure got lucky!
