DD's Autism Screening - Special Needs Children

Went A-M-A-ZING!!! We met with the chief of developmental pediatrics today at tripler. He was extremely kind and gentle. DD loved him.. she did extremely well and he says we have nothing to worry about. She is way too smart for us to even be there...but with the speech delay he does still reccomend the speech therepy, so we will meet with them next week the 12th. im soo happy to be over this hump... my stomach was in knots as we sat in the waiting room this morning... but as soon as he said he wasnt concerned and he didnt need to see us again it was like a huge weight off my shoulders.

Ohh and thank god DH was able to go with us!!

im sooo relieved... tomorrow... im figuring out how to switch pediatritians. thanks for all the support ladies

I knew she would be okay, everything you tell me about her shows how smart she is! Good luck at the speach therapist, maybe whe will find her voice quickly and you won't have anything at all to worry about
