Do I just go to the school and tell them I want an IEP for her?? She def needs some help with tests. Walk her through it and she gets all answers right, but leave her to her do it on her own and 15 out of 21 are wrong...careless mistakes and just total lack of focus.
So, do I just say Want an IEP for her!

The school will have to test her first before they will write an IEP. Any documentation that you have that could help the school will probably be very beneficial. But they will also probably find the same results when they test her. Good Luck!

You will need to contact the guidance counselor at her school and let her know that you want her tested. They have 30 calendar days to comply. I don't know how it is there, however, where I teach students with adhd do not qualify for an IEP, they get an 504 service agreement which lists accommodations for a student (which could state different room for testing). If your daughter gets tested and it shows learning disability...that would mean an IEP
