They specialists offically diagnosed Jacob as High Functioning Autistic child.


Now we can start getting the help he needs.

We are in the progress of getting him enrolled in EFMP and ECHOS program. Already have referrals in for a place here in Nebraska called Munroe-Meyer Institute( GREAT GREAT facility here that helps any one with a disability, autism ect.) One of the best places around.

Anyways Add me to the list of parents who have wonderful special children

Good luck. My cousin just found out her son is autistic also. They live in KS and are looking for resources. I'm sure it was nice to know what was finally going on and to be able to move forward.

can I ask you a personal question? How old is your child? My son is 5 and he has been diagnosed w/ ODD (oppositional defiant disorder), he is also borderline autistic, and has a severe case of OCD I was going to post something asking for help however, I have been so emotional about this all week I'm just sad....

Oh honey, I am so sorry- that must be really, really difficult for you as his parent.

Jacob is 3 will be 4 in December. They thought he might have a slight case of ADHD but he falls into the Autism range more than ADHD.

Actually I am perfectly ok( well asides from other personal crap going on). We knew for awhile that he needed help. Just didnt know what was wrong with him.

So now he will be getting the help he needs. The Psych said that he could lead a normal life except be a tad quirky with his personality when hes older.
