Moms of kids with aspergers
I know I have been asking alot about this but this is important to me. I dont know how many of you have kids that have aspergers that they have a major social issue with talking to other people. Not that they cant talk its just that they wont talk unless it suits them to talk. This is our DS's problem and its to the point where his therapists are both saying that he would do alot better in a self contained classroom. My question to you is if your child was recommended to a self contained classroom would you have a problem switching him in the middle of the school year or would you just do whats best for your child and put him in the self contained classroom so they could work on his social issues so that he or she wouldnt have to be held back? I want whats best for my DS but I just know that he may or may not have a problem with switching in the middle of the school year but I guess I would rather deal with him having issues with the change and hoping that they would be able to help him better to where he can succeed in school.
we have that child study tomorrow and we have been requested to accept nothing less than self contained. I just hope the school doesnt give us any issues about that. |
