EFMP
Hey ladies, for those of you who have kids within the autism/aspergers spectrum along with adhd which category do they usually put them in under the EFMP. The therapist is pretty sure that our DS is definitely in that spectrum but she had also mentioned something about him possibly having to be in a special class too. I dont see why he couldnt just stay in mainstream and have someone else come in to work with him.
She is going to be sending me some tests via email for us to fill out to help her with the diagnosis but based on the 2 questionaires that we filled out and his teacher she is certain he is in that spectrum. |

DS had Aspergers and ADHD. He's in all gifted and talented classes with accomodations (verbal testing in reading, sitting in the front of the class, and organization buddy, a social skills group with the counselor, etc.). For him, there is no need for special classes.

well thats what I was thinking. My DS doesnt have problems to severe that would require him being out of the regular classroom. I am pretty sure at his school they would have someone that could come in there to help him or something. we have a child study meeting in Jan after they get back from holidays.
