During the summer
Do you have to keep any sort of school routine to keep your child aware and functioning well?
We do - for our oldest. If we don't then he gets lost in his own little world and becomes very distant and difficult to deal with.

This is our Summertime Schedule, it is posted on our fridge:
7:00-Get Up 7:30-Breakfast 8:00-Get Dressed, brush teeth, make beds, pick up rooms 8:30-Exercise (go for a walk, dance, video) 9:00-Snack 9:30-Work on Preschool books 10:00-Reading time 10:30-Freetime 11:30-Lunch 12:00-Rest 1:30-Go outside (go swimming, play tag) 3:00-Snack 3:30-Pick-up 4:00-Freetime 5:30-Dinner 6:00-Family Time 7:00-Baths 7:30-Ready for Bed 8:00-Bedtime We don't always follow it religiously, and I hop on here in the middle of things, but we do try to stick to it for the most part. |
