Dairy Free
lets share products that are hard to find.
I found a dairy free butter substitute It's called Earth Balance http://www.earthbalancenatural.com/# I was using smart Balance BUT it contains casein. So Jacob can't have it. I wanted something to go on his baked potato or in mashed potatoes for him. Rice Dream is CF & GF http://www.tastethedream.com/ Veggie slices contain casein which annoyed the crap out of me because the market it to vegetarian's http://www.galaxyfoods.com/ourbrands/usa/veggie.asp But they also make a Vegan line that is CF.

Kosher margarine is completely dairy free, my son likes it OK, but it's hard to find it in stick form anymore.
For baking I use spectrum palm oil shortening. |

I forgot to add, that my son's allergist recommends to avoid Soy as a substitute for milk, as kids with true milk allergies (to casein) often develop allergies to soy as well. We discovered he was allergic to both at once, so we have never found an appropriate substitute for cheese.

I know I think cheese may just be a goner LOL. I know you can make cheese free pizza and things. Thanks everyone else for the very helpful information!

Thanks for the book names I have the Autism ADHD kid friendly CFGF cookbook and they have a few more that they make as well. I am going to get a really good blender for Jacob's smoothies. The DD recommended making him smoothies to get his nutrients in since he doesn't eat very much.

I absolutely loathe grocery shopping by the way
It usually takes 1-2 hours at least just in one store, because we have to read EVERY stinkin label, on everything, everytime, even if we've bought it before, because companies are always changing their ingredients. ALSO, be very careful about ones that say "seasoning" or "spices" because they can hide things in "natural flavors" It irks me to no end.
