I don't know too much about GF diets but I do know the commissary (at least here) sells some gluten-free pasta and other products (such as brownie mixes, etc) over by the health foods and vitamins.

I have used this site: GFCF Cookbook and joined blogs where recipes can be shared, like a yahoo group called GFCFkids. My son is no longer GF or CF, though.

Bob's Red Mill has an amazing array of gluten free flours, baking mixes, and even certified gluten free oats. The best thing to do is start out googling gluten free restaurants to get ideas for things you can try to make at home! There are a lot of good indian and asian recipes that are gluten free. I've found that trying to completely replace a normal diet with gluten free ingredients can be quite expensive and also can add in some extra unneeded calories...so sometimes its good to overhaul and think of completely new recipes that are naturally gluten free if that makes sense. Good luck!

I recently found out I am gluten and Lactose intolerant so trust me I know its hard! Some of the recipes I have found have been just disgusting! My favorite thing so far would be the gluten free chocolate cake mix (idk if they have it on base but I know Harris Teeter has it here) it's in a clear package! It's my favorite! I don't recommend the noodles.... I know some people like them but me personally... I would rather go without then try to eat that! Good luck finding gluten free foods

Chex now makes gluten free cereal as does Rice Krispies .

There are tons of G.F. stuff out there now. I know Trader Joes, Fred Meyer (Krogers), and Walmart all have tons of products from Pasta to ready made meals that are G.F. I would look at those as well.
