    Hello,

    I am on the HCG diet and have had about an 18 lb success in my first month. However, my results slowed down and I got discourage, and thought I'd see if anyone would like to start a support thread on here if you are struggling too!

    Is there anyone else out there on this diet? I would love to share recipes and any tips you might have.

    Also getting ready to move to Germany, and won't have the diet shot facility anymore. Anyone have any recommendations on a decent website to get HCG oral drops online?

    500 calories a day?! Yeah, you're hurting your body. You need at least 1200 calories a day. Good luck with that... You're probably going to gain it all back(and them some) as soon as you stop taking the hCG.

    Emily...it isn't anything I would suggest.

    I googled it (because I have heard of it but know nothing much). It took me 3 pages of search results to find something that was not an hcg selling site. And it was an article in the Seattle tribune.

    It's a familiar story. She tried over and over to lose weight. Sometimes she succeeded, but it always came back.

    And it seemed so unfair because she didn't want to get as skinny as a supermodel, just a healthy weight, 145 or 150 pounds.

    Then Patti Dingler found the HCG Diet. She eats only 500 calories a day, and she and her husband have bumped up their walking regimen to five miles daily near their home in Wise County, Texas. Definitely a recipe for weight loss.

    She shed 25 pounds in her first 30 days on the diet.

    And after just the first week, "I felt 10 years younger," says Patti, 49, a contract specialist in the Federal Aviation Administration's Fort Worth, Texas, office. "I had energy, and I breathed easier."

    Most diet regimens allow about 1,200 calories a day for the average woman. Patti's getting far less. So how is she staving off hunger and fatigue?

    Once or twice a day, she puts several drops of a nearly flavorless liquid under her tongue. She says it keeps her feeling good, mostly, although about one day in seven she is more tired than normal.
    The part I bolded alone tells me it is not healthy. I don't care what they are having a person take. 500 calories and you are near starving yourself.

    Yeah, I googled after I ask. That is ridiculous. You are starving yourself. NOT healthy in the least bit.

    The Hcg diet is a good way to screw up you metabolism for a long time. Of course you're not seeing results anymore. Your body has gone into starvation mode and is not burning calories and/or fat as efficiently as it would if you would eat properly and work out.

    500 calories!? I think I burn 500 calories in my sleep!

    There is no "secret" to weight loss, and you don't need a salesperson!
    Healthy food, portion control, and exercise.
