So I've thought about picking up some tofu next time I go grocery shopping. I put this under the special diets section because I really didn't know where else to put it lol. Does anyone know any great recipes for it or a website that has some great recipes for tofu?

I used to be a vegetarian and eat lots of tofu. One of my fav. easy ways to eat it was to take it out of the package, dry it really well with paper towels to get all of the water out then cut it into slices about 1/4 inch thick and bake it at 350 degrees. You can use any sauce to dip in it etc.
Oh and another great baked tofu if with olive oil, lemon juice and rosemary

Drain it really well, press out the water, cut it into cubes. Brown it on the stove in a pan, pour in some teriyaki sauce and let it thicken up and serve it over rice.

I have lots of ideas about tofu in there. In general I like it stir-fried with veggies and soy sauce. Or with peas. I also really enjoy it fried with mushrooms and a nice red wine. Just buy the extra firm or firm if you're planning on cooking it 'cos it really doesn't do so hot otherwise. And be sure to drain as much water as you can. For an interesting twist, if you freeze it it gets a totally different texture which a lot of people really like.
