Oh, I know it is! If I had a top pick, I would stay on Coronado, but I can't justify waiting a year to get into the North Island housing when we're only guaranteed 18 months in San Diego before he's up for new orders.

Officer housing here can have a long wait, so we decided to not live in housing. There are lots of great areas to live within a short commute to 32nd st that allow you to save BAH. We live in the Bonita/ Eastlake/ Otay Ranch area of Chula Vista. It's a nice safe area and 10 minutes to 32nd st, 20 minutes to NASNI or Miramar.

We will be moving to San Diego in April as well and it will be our first time looking into military housing. I have been trying to do a lot of research to get an idea of the neighborhoods, etc. My husband will be at the hospital in Balboa but he has schooling for three months first. Mypaintwattie- do you stay in a house in the Chula Vista area? I have been seeing that name around.
