No way, it's cold! But they did show surfers out there and people say it's only toxic to the marine life and not us.

Yes, you can actually go in the water with red tide, but you wouldn't want to catch shellfish to eat in a red tide, KWIM?

My friend took some photos the other night and I wanted to get out there... but not the easiest thing to do with three kids LOL. I wasn't sure if it there was still a red tide.. any idea how much longer it's expected to last and where the best beaches to view it would be? I know Mission Beach wouldn't be great since there is so much light from the businesses around there LOL. She went to Torrey Pines.

I heard it was supposed to be around another week but we went to the beach tonight and saw nothing! Oh well. Some friends of mine had gone to Breakers last night and saw it but it wasn't there tonight.

However it wasn't a wasted trip because there were a couple hundred baby seagulls and it was funny!! They were running as fast as they could to the water, hang out there a minute or so then run as fast as they could back to the section where other birds were pulling small crabs out of the sand to eat!

I heard Torrey Pines was the best place to see it, but how long will it be around? Think I will have any luck tomorrow night?
