    twentynine palms?

    anyone on here live on or around the 29 palms base? i know there is like absolutely nothing to do around there, but i will be moving in with my marine once we get married in the next month, and i was hoping to make some friends to hang out during the day(:

    Sorry I don't live there but one of my really good friends did for awhile (and you're right, pretty much nothing to do) but I'll bump this and I hope you find someone out there.

    DH was stationed there a long time ago, and has a friend there now, but he said the same thing...there isn't much to do but try to stay cool. There are tons of us in San Diego though! It's not the quickest drive, maybe an hour based on where you are, but I'm sure there are tons of us who would meet in the middle to get together.

    the guys will never like it out here, they dont get together and get their nails done or go on shopping trips, or lay out by the pool LOL

    I have never heard of any guys liking this place until they're married, or have kids.

    we're not married, but we're excited about it!! mostly for the isolation and dirtbiking

    My husband loves the views he gets to see when riding. There was recently a storm and it was rolling in as he was coming home so he took a picture, mind you this is a "small" version of the LARGE picture i photostiched for him in photoshop. It overlooks a big dune.
