Fun stuff to do in San Diego?

    Advertisements
DB and I are heading out the weekend after next to meet with a recruiter

His Sister, BIL and nephew live there, so we're planning on kidnapping his nephew for a day out and about. Last time we took him to Balboa Park... and Sea World... and some weird children's museum (there was a cultural festival for MLK day). I know he's already been to the zoo and the lego museum.

What kind of fun stuff is there to do in SD for kids?

What kind of fun stuff is there to do for adults?

Not sure if you are looking for free stuff or willing to spend some money but here is the MWR ITT list of things around SoCal and the cost/discounts that is if you can get on base. If anything it gives you an idea of what to do.

How old is the nephew? My son is 11 and loves the Maritime Museum, they have quite a few ships to tour including two subs, one from the former Soviet Union and they have the HMS Surprise from the movie Master and Commander.

Oooh I forgot to post that

    He'll be 4 in a couple weeks.

I'm not sure if he'd have the attention span for the maritime museum... but it definitely sounds like something DB would love

There is a never-ending list of things to do in San Diego. I LOVE going up to Julian for some yummy apple pie.
