    San Diego Girls..Question for ya~

Has ANYONE been to the mechanics on base (either NSB or by the NEX on Nimitz??)

Im looking to get some work done on my car and really REALLY dont want to go to the dealer (i/e Rip Me Off every time I go there...)

Any advice would be great!! And maybe just opinions about mechanics on base??

    Thanks!

When we were back there in 03-07 we went there once.... there ok. But I think all we had done was a new tire or something like that.

Went to the mechanics onbase at miramar...wasn't that impressed. $99 just for labor to put on brake pads! rip off IMO.

It's a drive from where you are but Miramar H & A does a good job for a decent price. call them up and get a quote.

We don't use the nex/base mechanics. We had tires done there once at the one outside of 32nd street. I think they were overpriced, but at the time they had the tires we needed whereas other (cheaper) places would have had to order tires. We had a slipped belt so we had to get tires right now, so we sucked it up and paid the high price. It also took all day to get said tired mounted and balanced. To be fair, that was 5 years ago so take my review for what you think it's worth.
