    Pet Hospital in San Diego?

    Advertisements
    Can anyone recommend an affordable pet hospital in the San Diego area that has a good reputation and knows what they are doing? My lab has to have some minor surgery (a growth of skin removed) and really could use some advice on where to take him. After reading several reviews on vet places out here, its hard to find a decent one that will take care of my pet!

    Thank you in advance

    There is one up Santo in that shopping center just before the 52. It is a hospital, but when my friend had her dog in over the weekend for a rattle snake bite, they charged her a little over $900 for the anti-venom. They sent the dog to the ER clinic in La Mesa who also administered anti-venom, but for $300 less than the clinic on Santo. Exact same doses, exact same brands, too very different mark-ups! I know that isn't much help for your question, but I just wanted to give you a heads up on the varying degrees of mark-ups on services.

    From the website: Limited surgical procedures

    So I don't know. If you haven't called to inquire, I definitely would since the base vet is sooooo much less expensive.

    These guys just recently opened and in my opinion seem good
    PETSURG/HOME
    I also just recently neutered our dog and it was a more difficult surgery because one of his testicles didn't drop and so they had to go in internally. They were great, their staff is great and honestly it wasn't horribly priced. Under $400 for a major surgery.
    Here is there name;
