    San Diego Pet Rules...

    Advertisements
When living (on base or off base) in San Diego what are the average pet regulations you have seen? Like only pitt's not allowed, or any dog over 80lbs not allowed? TIA

I think it all depends on where you live. Some place don't allow pets that are 25+ lbs some only cats and so forth.

perhaps i should rephrase my question.

Where do y'all live and what are the pet rules?

Me and DF are looking into getting a dog, and we're thinking about breeds we'd be most likely able to have.

Off the top of my head, California doesn't have any "breed specific legislation". HOWEVER that doesn't mean individual landlords or complex managers won't discriminate against some breeds. That's a really hard question to answer because there aren't any steadfast rules - it really depends on WHERE you are living. One apartment complex is going to have rules that are different from another apartment complex, one house for rent will have different rules than another house for rent, etc. It all depends on where specifically you end up. I don't know about base rules.
11 months down.... ??? months to go. Will it EVER end?!

We are in San Diego. We live in Murphy Canyon. No weight restrictions for this housing. There is a 2 pet limit. As far as breeds, I'm not sure of the restrictions. We have a mutt and a lab/hound mix so we didn't really look for breed restrictions or lack thereof. I do know of many people within MC that have pitt mixes.

chollas heights im at no pets unless its small birds (no parrots lol) or fish, hamsters, guinea pigs

ive seen some people here with cats but i dont think that they are supposed to be here, but its no dogs here.

call housing office they usually have an up todate list of which communities have which pet rules and their fees too
