Tucson AZ???
Davis-Monthan AFB????
Anyone even heard of this place??? I've been searching for anyone out there and the pickings seem to be slim!!! LOL I see some people from AZ and even Tucson, but barely any AF people and there is zero mention of this random base  Anyone have a clue?? Dh is due for a new base, and apparently his boss has some really good connections out there and is pushing for him to go there even if we are both horrified at the idea of going somewhere hotter and further into the West than what we have going.... Oklahoma  I need a hug. We really really really don't want to go there, but Dh thinks with his boss in play (some job there would be beneficial to his career) and all his connections to that base... we might not have a choice   Sorry.... small vent included

That was my DH's first duty station. He'd happily go back so I'm assuming it can't be too bad (and he complains about 90% of the bases he can get stationed at). It's hot, make sure you get AC. Base housing is nice, but you can easily live off base too. It makes it onto our dream sheet (our list of bases is relatively small). Oh and DH would choose it over Oklahoma bases any day.

I'm in Glendale at Luke AFB. I have no idea how far it is though. I'll have to look and see.

It's got yucky areas, but nice areas too (like most actual cities). Lots to do around there. Close to vacation spots. Me and DH have talked a lot about this base, it's our #1 or 2 I think. citydata.com is a great place to get info on the area.

sigh.. I'm sure it's got it's nice things about it... I just hate that it's even further from home, and not a place we we want, or remotely close to the east coast
 (We're from Puerto Rico, so anything on the east coast is acceptable lol)I know it's definitely not official... but the way Dh has been talking about it, IDK he really thinks his boss is just gonna stick him in there if he can manage it. His boss even talked to the commander for Dh even after Dh told him he wasn't sure about how he felt about it. Why would he do that?!?! I feel like this is getting forced on us. Granted, who has control over this type of thing... but UGH... whyyyyyyyyy
