Tucson AZ??? - Page 2 - SouthWestern U.S

I love Arizona. Its great. Every where you live has a bad season and for Arizona its backwards. Summer is the bad season. It does get hot but there is a ton to do indoors. Fall, winder and spring are amazing though. There is so much to do in Arizona. We have 2ski resorts up North, zoos, hiking, rock climbimg, shopping, tons of restraunts and shopping centers and just so much more.

It's out of our hands now though. Dh already left on his deployment, and I'm sure by the time he gets back we might have some orders waiting for us. We're not really sure what's going to happen with that!!!

I wish we could know sooner

but oh well....

I'll try very hard to be positive if this does end up being our next home.

I haven't ever been on base... but I grew up in Tucson and I have to agree with the other ladies that there are definitely worse places to be. My family still lives there and yes, the summers get hot, but the winters more than make up for it. Don't be too down if you do end up there! and... if you have any questions about the city itself feel free to ask me and I'll help you out as much as I can.

I'm REALLY sad that there's no "winter" there though...

I lived in Puerto Rico my whole life, and we don't have snow there... So I was looking forward to maybe moving somewhere with some... Oklahoma really doesn't get much snow where I'm at....

Granted... I'm sure the weather is fabulous...

LOL Sorry... I keep finding the negatives

I miss tucson personally. I'll be there in the Spring if you want some pictures of stuff. I go there every year for my EMT re-cert class.

Also, don't worry about "no winter"... drive a couple hours up to Flagstaff (where my family lives) and you've got your snow!

We are at Ft Huachuca and every year I have been here we get snow. I am from Florida so the snow is something I could honestly do without.

To me it is a lot of snow, but people say I am being a baby about it.

It is plenty for me. Tuscon is about 45 mins away from Ft Huachuca so if you do not get snow there you can always come here and visit. Mount Lemon usually has snow on it during the winter. We go to tuscon whenever we get a chance to there is a lot of shopping and things we do not have here. If you have any questions send me a pm.

My hubbs is at Davis-Monthan AFB right now finishing up his training. I have never been but he really likes it there!

Actually DMAFB is pretty nice

I grew up here and I have plenty of friends and family stationed there. I go on base a lot with my sister since her husband is in the air force. Tucson is a really nice place and there's plenty to do. Sure, it's a hot place, but it's got it's nice moments.

Any questions, feel free to PM me. If I can't answer specific questions about the base I can ask friends and such and my sister.
