Vance AFB, Oklahoma anyone? - SouthWestern U.S

Anyone there? We're gonna be there in November - not for long but I'd like to know some info about the area if anyone is there. Mostly, just what is there to see/do. DH will be busy, but I'll be pretty free and bored! Hows the base? Is there a hotel on base?

Its actually in Enid, Ok. It's West of Tulsa and North of Oklahoma City

Okay, it is near Enid.
Um, not too familiar with Enid...except recent news about some stuff.

It's western OK...so it will be flat and dull. It is close to OKC and then Norman is only 30 minutes from OKC.

OKC has good concerts! Brick town is fun.
If you have kids, OKC has amusement parks and water parks.

I wish I could help you out...I didn't travel to Enid much. We have a family friend that has lived there for a long time.

Ive never been to Vance, but Ive got a lot of friends from Enid. From my understanding, there isnt a whole lot to do there. Sorry Im not much help!

That's close to where I went to school last year. I recommend going down to Oklahoma City. There are museums, bricktown, basketball. The city of Enid is small and doesn't have much to do if I remember correctly.

Thanks ladies! Luckily it won't be for too long so I'll probably just enjoy the down time and force myself to study. I've got a friend that will be in Tulsa for her son's medical appointment around the same time so maybe I can meet up with her for lunch or something. We'll probably drive through OKC too but I know DH wants to go there so I probably wouldn't go until he can go with me. Ahhh... military adventures!
