Had both my babies there...Good experiences both times....The first time was with the doc that had been following me and it was an easy labor and delivery...The aftercare was less than steller but I think it was because it was a weekend and I was uncomplicated...with my dd I had complications so I was in antipardum for a few days before having her....The nurses were amazing and as was my delivery...They let my dh and ds stay in room with me....My only advice is make sure the attending is doing your epi....

I had Jack there in Feb. I was induced and came in at 11 pm. My nurse was an angel, so sweet. I was in and out of labor and delivery in 4 hrs, I had him quick! My midwife was on call that night so it was nice to have her, well actually her student deliver me and they did a great job. My recovery went well. Nothing to complain about. Just wish they had something more comfortable for DH to sleep on then that horrible chair. Jack had some complications and had to have testing, ultrasounds, etc done and they handled it all well.

I've just heard good things and then I hear horrible things. So far, I've heard more negative than postive. I'm trying to get a civilian dr. so I don't have to drive there since we do live in Lakeside.

Meh. It was okay. Nurses, doctor, VERY NICE! Nurse ensign chick total ***** but that's besides the point. The only thing I HATED about Balboa is they did not take the baby so I could sleep. I enjoy when I get to sleep for a few hours and they said "we don't have a nursery anymore". This made me very sad. i was looking forward to a little sleep before I came home
 Other than that it was okay
