    Painting Contractors in SD?

    Advertisements
Long shot I know since there aren't many SD homeowners here, but can anyone recommend a painter? We have to get the house painted before we move in, and I just don't want to go with anyone.

We just want someone reasonably priced, but who can have the house finished in a couple of days. No slow pokes, or someone who does it on their "off time".

Were getting ready to hire someone for our living room. We have a vaulted ceiling downstairs.... how soon do you need to hire someone?

    Oh wonderful!

We are supposed to close on the 22 of May (furiously tap dances on every piece of wood I can find), and we would like the house painted that very week. Our lease won't be up here until June 1, so we won't have to move in right away.

We don't have vaulted ceilings in this place (thank goodness!), except in the hall/stairway area.

What kind of quotes are you getting for your living room? And do they charge extra if you want to have accent walls or different color trim?

$275? With paint included? That's great!

My sister paid $2,500 to have three rooms and a hallway painted. That was 4 years ago though, at the peak of the housing boom, and they were making (and charging) money hand over fist. Couldn't move into a half million dollar home with white walls.

Oh god, if I could get it all done for under $2000 I will cry.

Let's see, the kitchen, the living area, the hallway, and three bedrooms. That's what I want. I would like to have the bathrooms painted too.

I went to the place yesterday and took pictures of the rooms, if that will help.

    Thank you! I'm so excited.

Is this a company or a person that you know?

*pffft* I'd just end up having to pay someone to come and fix the mess I made.

Someone mentioned primer to me the other day, and I had to go and look it up.

I'm no good at this .... house prettification stuff.

Really I enjoy painting! But it has taken me over 4 years to get to where I am now so I can completely understand wanting a painter. Do you have any colors picked out?
