Smile Donate your Gowns SD Girls!

Jeff and Jer on the radio station 94.1 is doing a wonderful thing. They've done this for like 3 years. The collect all different types of gowns from women all over, anyone that wants to donate their dresses, and they have a Gown Town event, on April 18th this year, where they invite ALL high school girls who have a prom coming up to come and pick out a dress NO COST to them . In hard times, I'm sure this year more than ever many girls really need this, so I think its a wonderful event. They don't ask the girls for any information, they don't need to fill out some survey or anything, they just get to come, stand in line and come it to pick out their dream dress and wear it to prom .

I have at least 2 dresses in the back of my closet I think would be great for a prom that some girls could enjoy, so if you have ANY dresses that you just know you'll never wear again, that you'd like to donate to a girl in need for her prom, check out the Jeff and Jer website for information on where and went to drop it off

I heard about this the other day, but no longer have my gowns. It's a very cool thing and a lot of girls will benefit from it!

.... I might have one or two that I can donate. I will have to check the closet when I get home.

That is so neat, I wish I was already down there to donate. I have a couple that need to be removed from my closet.

Yea spread the word girls! I remember for my prom, how hard me and my mom had to look because I didn't have much money to spend on a dress and had to look far and wide to find something suitable for little $. I ended up with something decent, but of course not what I would have really wanted if I could afford it . I can just imagine how many girls are stressing out if they don't have enough $ to buy a nice dress for their prom, or if their parents can't really monetarily help contribute to it. I would love to be there with a girl helping her pick a beautiful dress for her prom with no worries to her about having to pay

I wish there was a more central location. I'm in Mission Valley and all of those places are about a 30 minutes drive.
