    They're about the same! We used TW in Hawaii and have Cox here. My mom, in SD, has Cox.

    I'd go with whomever gives you the cheaper rate!

    We had Cox in Virginia and we have Time Warner here. Personally, we like Time Warner better.

    For cable I've only had TimeWarner.

    BUT, I DirecTV (if thats an option for you). You get the DVR for free when you're a new customer and its less expensive monthly with more channels.

    They have contract areas. TW serves Tierrasanta and Coronado and Cox the rest of it. I know in Murphy Canyon we had NO CHOICE in who the provider was unless we went with satellite. It was the same in Lakeside, no choice, had to go with Cox.

    We always liked Cox better between the 2, but preferred Dish over either one.
