    San Diego ladies ...

Where do you work out? Do you have a gym membership, or do you work out at one of the gyms on base?

I'm just trying to figure this out. A lot of the national chains are offering really good sign up specials right now, and I'm wondering if I should take advantage of them.

I currently work out at our neighborhood gym that's located less than a mile from our house, and I love it. All of the classes are free, the monthly fee is reasonable (with a military discount to boot), and I didn't have to pay much to join. AND, the contract was only for a year.

I loathe Bally's, and I hope it's not the main game in town.

True and dont you get free training on base?
We signed up for 24 hr because of the daycare option and because there are soo many that are close to us, but I definitely think the base gyms are great too! :d

Well that's true, but do the base gyms offer any classes? The ones out here don't, and I take spin cycling and yoga a few times a week--paying a monthly fee for a regular gym would definitely be worth it to me.

I go to the YMCA and I really like it. The one I go to (Mission Valley) gives a military discount.

Thanks for the info about the YMCA. I've never joined before--is the gym pretty well equipped? And what is the monthly payment, approximately?
