wow.. serisouly ancient thread.
Murphy Canyon's VERY convienent if he's stationed at 32nd. I've known several people who've had 4 bdrms. there.. here's the PPV site, onestop isn't the best when it comes to SD housing, it's best to go straight to PPV's site for info. http://www.lincolnmilitary.com/Insta...lex-san-diego/ Murphy Canyon is divided into "neighborhoods".. Orleck Heights is one http://www.lincolnmilitary.com/Insta...rleck-heights/ Santo Terrace is another : http://www.lincolnmilitary.com/Insta...santo-terrace/

Haha! Thanks for all your help.
I'll check out the lincoln sites and go from there for now. I was under the impression that it was much farther from the base..? Guess I was wrong! |

MOST all of the housing is at least 8 miles from the base... We're in Lofgren Terrace, and it's nice, but they're only 2-3 bdrm units with no pets allowed.

It's VERY convenient, not far at all. We've lived here twice now, once on the Orleck side and now we're in Aero. My husband's commute to 32nd is like maybe 10-15 mins tops. not bad at all, honestly. It's all highway and a straight shot, plus you do go against the traffic, as well ![]() You're allowed two pets in all areas of Murphy Canyon. They have three, four and five bedroom units. All houses have at least a small yard, some yards are bigger than others but they all have at least SOME yard that is fenced in. I am absolutely in LOVE with my current house. I didn't like the one in Orleck as much but that's b/c we had three kids and were in a pretty small single level house. I wasn't wild about the floor plan but it wouldn't have been bad if we didn't have so many kids Our house now is awesome. Its bigger, awesome layout, four bedrooms, good sized back yard. I just love it! There is a wait list for Murphy Canyon but as I understand it, it's pretty short. So, I don't think you'd have much of a wait. I'm currently in the process of trying to declutter some of our rooms since we just moved in, but I am trying to get some pics done soon. You can also see our Orleck unit if you click on the photos button up top and go to the murphy canyon housing section

Yes. There are three areas for enlisted personnel. Aero Ridge, Orleck and Santo Terrance. All three areas have very similar homes, the layouts and floor plans just vary some, but they basically seem similar in most ways. All three have fenced yards, and all three allow up to 2 pets.
