We are taking a collection at work to go buy stuff. (My boss asked me if I could go get 3 dozen toothbrushes. I just handed him money to get them.)

You can also donate through the Red Cross and select the California Wildfires.

Woot Woot, that's my awesome church!
I will be making a donation soon!

Have you ever thought about what protects our hearts? / Just a cage of rib bones and other various parts /
So it's fairly simple to cut right through the mess / And stop the muscle that makes us confess / And we are so fragile /
And our cracking bones make noise / And we are just breakable, breakable, breakable girls and boys.

I'd call the Red Cross or Salvation Army and ask if you can donate items through a facility near you.

I know there has been some controversy here over this church but I just wanted to post that they are accepting donations of clothing and the like for those of us that have that kind of thing to give. I checked with Salvation Army and they told me to take anything to a Salvation Army place and there is no guarantee that it will go to victims so I didn't wanna do that so I found the church thing instead. The Rock will be taking donations tomorrow from 8-8 as I understand it at their donation center in Serra Mesa. The website with all the info is: http://www.therocksandiego.org/wildfires/. I am not sure about after tomorrow but you could probably contact them to find out.
