We are working with an E=3 budget of $986 and need a 2-bedroom. I don't think we're moving until January, but I need help since we're in Indiana now.

Married? I only ask because I was wondering if you'd be getting BAH.

For rental houses look at jbornc.com do a property search (make sure to put rental) and then just fill in the rest.

There are also apartments. apartmentfinder.com

Also try militarybyowner.com and look at the rentals.

We lived in Brynn Marr townhouses. STAY AWAY! That's all I can say about it. Roaches, mold, ect...There are some nice apartments in the area, near the old walmart on Marine Blvd, but they are a little more expensive.

If you look around you could probably find an independant townhome for under the BAH. Try looking in Hubert, it's a little further out from Jacksonville but its right down the street from the back gate and much quieter and spread out.

Check out www.lejeuneyardsales.com. It's the greatest, you can find anything there and people are often posting properties for rent. Hope that helps!

www.realtor.com has a ton of rental listings too.

and hubert is really nice and so is swansboro.. also try lejeuneyardsales.com
sometimes people post houses for rent on there.. i'd suggest going the towhouse/house for rent route rather than an apartment... you'll get way more for your money that way.
