Savannah area salons?

I desperately need a haircut. I'm kinda picky about where I go. I love Toni & guy salons because they're good & affordable, but from what I know there isn't one near here. So what I'm wondering is, are there any salons in Savannah, that aren't either ghetto or socialite territory? I need a good haircut, no color, for less than $75.

Is there anyone who can help me? Please

I don't have any good recommendations. I usually go to MasterCuts in the malls and they always **** up anways. But I'm definitely going to stalk this thread because I need to find a good hair stylist as well

I'm no help with anything GA related. But you guys should try www.yelp.com That's how I found my stylist in Chicago when I lived there, and it was great. Sometimes they even give a discount if you say you found them through Yelp

Don't go to the Regis at the Ogalthorpe mall. I got the worst hair cut ever there and she colored my hair the wrong shade of red.

Yeah. That's what Im worried about! I would freak the **** out if someone jacked up my hair! I've been trying to grow it for so long now, and I can just see someone ****ing it up and then having to have it cut again! The thought makes me cringe!

thanks for the heads up! I'll definitly avoid! I really want to go to a nice, upscale salon, but I don't think dh will pay more than $60 for me to get a haircut. And I don't blame him! I don't think they should cost that much! But a good haircut is worth alot more to me! Lol

Well I was looking on google and yelp and one place stuck out the most. It's called color boxx. The prices are reasonable, starting at $40. And it's been on local news & was runner up for best salon in the area! So I'm going to try it out, and I'll let you lovely ladies know how it is! If you want to check it out the website is:

they have a portfolio on there, and all their prices! It's worth a look if you're in need of a haircut, or highlights. (ohh, I also read that first time customers getting color get a free cut!! Which is a damn good deal!)

Go to 40 Volume on Water Street.

The owner is cute and sweet as can be & is a military wife! It's a very modern place and everyone is very nice...
(make sure you ask for a military discount if you go!)

Ok, just to update, I went to 40 volume and I don't know if the gilt was new or what, but my hair is jacked.

I'm sure if I had asked for something a little more simple it would look great. But I don't know what I'm going to do for the next 2 months while my bangs grow out. She cut way too much of the length off, and didn't do my layers at all how I wanted them. I even showed her pictures of how I wanted it....idk what happened...what bugs me most is that I didn't say anything...and I tipped her really well...it seriously makes me sick to my stomach. I just really wish there was a Toni and guy around here...I'm planning on getting this mess fixed when I go home at the end of the month...if they can do anything with it...

But really, if you just need a trim or something, I'm sure they are great! And the salon is cute! And with the military discount it was only $36! Just don't ask for anything too differnt!

OMG i'm so sorry I've had my hair done there soo many times and it always comes out great. But I don't do layers or anything.. obv my hair is pretty plan and it's just a straight cut. I'm soo sorry :0( Do you know who it was that did your hair??
