I need opinions about Kings Bay, GA! - SouthEastern U.S

Hi Ladies!

I live in San Diego with my hubby and 3 year old daughter- and one daughter on the way! My husband is going to be taking a security forces position so i am researching all of the potential locations we have to choose from- Kings Bay being one of them. ANY info you can give me about it would be great- I particularly want to make sure I am not going to lose my mind as a stay at home mom due to boredom- I am super active and like to be out and about and involved in mommy groups, etc. I also want to know what the climate is like and whether or not there are restaurants, bars, etc. for my husband and I to enjoy. And what about the schools there? Any good Christian churches? If we do move there, is there base housing? If so, do you recommend it or do you recommend us renting off base? Thanks for your input, girls. I appreciate it so much!

Just read this post. The schools here are good! Camden County H.S has an awesome football team so I hear! Ive seen all the elementary schools, and their all nice! There are 3 or 4 different elementary schools! One middle school, and a County H.S which is HUGE! There are a BUNCH of different churches around here. I have yet to go to one though. Also there is Base Housing (which is close to the daycare/preschool) but Ive heard you don't wanna live on base (not sure why though) I think you would see more of your BAH if you chose to live in a rental house. Ive heard the floors in the base housing is all tile..even bedrooms (again thats just what I hear so don't take my word on that) Hope this helps a little more.
