Jacksonville NC Hotels?! - SouthEastern U.S

I'm going down to Jacksonville, NC to see my boyfriend next weekend he just got back from Iraq today. Well I wanted to book the hotel but I dont know what one is a nice one and close to the Base. I dont want to ask him because its a surprise! What Hotel would you suggest Ladies??

I don't suggest the Hampton Inn (now the baymont) I worked there

The closets to base is Liberty Inn..but if you want a nice one your going to have to get farther away from base.

The Fairfield is really nice and the Sleep Inn is nice too. Both new and nice.

I stayed at the Ramada Inn in Jacksonville when I visited ex-DB. It's about 10 minutes from Lejeune with traffic. It was good for the price (I paid $75 a night). The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, there was a microwave/refrigeratore, Wi-Fi. It's right on the highway but I didn't hear the traffic all that much. It was a little rowdy Saturday night around 2 am but it was only for like 10 minutes and I'm pretty sure I only noticed it cause I was still awake. I actually preferred this hotel to the one that ex-DB and I stayed in the next weekend which cost almost $20 a night more. Hope this helps a little. Have fun next weekend!

Oh yeah the Ramada is nice too. Thats were my family stayed when they came down. It was a Best Western before that. I stayed there twice when it was a Best Western when DH was still in MOS school.

It is farther from base than the others I listed but they do have the only shuttle in town that will take you to the airport.

We stayed at the Ramada when we were house hunting just a few weeks ago. Best hotel for the price. Decent room.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Sneads Ferry. They have the nicest linens!! And the beach is less than 5 miles away. The base is I think 10 miles away, but it's a killer hotel! I think I'm staying there again when I come down for the ball!

We stayed at Liberty Inn when DH came home from Iraq last year. But we only stayed there because it had a kitchen for the twins. Unfortunatly we didn't get that room!!! But it still wasn't too bad. They are horrible with reservations!
