Question need PTSD therapist in El Paso,

    Advertisements
Hi, I need a therapist in El Paso for DB's PTSD outside of base - his visits keep on getting cancelled because of training and what not. He wants to find someone he can see on weekends, but as luck would have it, he doesn't even have the time to do his groceries, never mind sit on the phone to find someone.
Soooo, if anyone knows of someone or a clinic he can turn to I would really appreciate it.

    Thank you so much.
Livestrong... is all I can say.

I'm bumping the thread for you . . . I am hoping someone can remind us of the name of the organization that does some free therapy (donates hours to military) - because they might have a contact for you.

Call the SFMC on main post. They should be able to see about pointing him in the right direction, and making sure he gets his referral to be seen off post. Just to warn you, psych referrals on Bliss take for-freaking-ever. Half of them don't go through, and when they do, they're not even accurate. Once he gets his referral, you can track its status on triwest.com.

You can also try contacting the local VA to see if they can recommend anyone.

    I second this.

The organization I was thinking of is "Give an Hour."

Their search page on their website is here: Basic Provider Search

They list three providers participating in El Paso. I would think that would be a good starting place?

    Park, Richard
    1921 E. Yandell Dr.
    El Paso, TX 79903

    Hand, Michael
    600 Sunland Park, Bldg 6, Ste 100
    El Paso, TX 79912

    Scharf, Donald
    1600 Lee Travino
    El Paso, TX 79936
