Anyone near either me and my fiance don't know yet where he is getting stationed so I'm just trying to figure out what these places are like before we move. So if anyone could help that would be amazing!!

Fort Hood is a huge army base but that pretty much comprises the whole town. Its a few hours from some big cities. 1 hr from austin, 2.5 to dallas-fort worth and about the sam to san antonio. Hot as heck during the summer. DB likes winter there though bc its not as cold as the North. Texas is only cold for a few weeks out of the year.

I'm moving to Fort Hood sometime this spring.

All of this. DB is stationed down there. I've been there a few times and am moving there in a few months hopefully.

The heat is something to consider for us girls used to a more northern climate, but its so nice not having to deal with the same degree of snow.
The other thing that I don't like about Hood is the lack of green. I'm from michigan where theres grass, folliage, and the like everywhere. To me, the landscape is depressing because its not nearly as nice that way.

    Otherwise, I like it

That is true about hood.. Although its near the hill country, which is actually a pretty part of texas. My DB took me hiking on some butte at hood, it was pretty cool. I live in DFW and the landscape is even worse.
