how do you join ? so you can get nominated for awards and how often are they given out?

i know a jewel member is someone who pays for membership, i want to say its 20 or 25 dollars a year.

oh and FYI The "U.S. Marine Corps" or "United States Army" or Navy Or Coast guard, etc those are groups. If you go to the top and click on "User CP" Then go to "Group Memberships" Then Join the group that applies to you!! IE if your man is in the Marines, Join the marines group and you'll get a marines banner

The SOS Awards are something that's done from time to time. People nominate other members for certain things, like most random posts, or biggest yacker... then all members vote, and they're awarded a blinkie or avatar for winning.
