I mean, when a Mod edits a thread for OPSEC violation, they put it in the "reason for editing" line, so (other than national security reasons ) is this different?

Yup. This would be great. It's not like we are asking for. "TOS VIolation because SuzyQ did XYZ" Just "TOS Violation-vague callouts" "TOS Violation - rule whatever" which makes us have to look it up ourselves "TOS violation-language" etc. Yes that COULD lead people to "know" who it was but then I guess that person shouldn't have been violating TOS.

I feel like this is akin to when two refs throw a flag at a football game and then when they all gather to meet, they're like "So...what was the penalty? Umm.. ??? Well... False start? Yea...sounds good." (The Blind Side, anyone?)

I know that comes off as snarky, and I'm sorry. I just really wonder WHAT was TOS violation in there considering the timing of its closure.

To be honest, I've read TOS 100 times and I don't vaguely remember 90% of the stuff written, and I know I'm not the only one. So unless I should pull out some flash cards, an obvious stated violation would be easier to grasp.

It's like reading medical diagnosis or law paperwork...you don't grasp it until someone dumbs it down for you because of the obvious vocabulary use.

I wish threads didn't get closed due to TOS violations.
