That is the number of current registered members. I would just like to know, how many of those members are active? With that many members, it seems like a biannual purge needs to occur amongst those who aren't posting or have NEVER posted.

Just out of curiosity... why would we need to get rid of inactive members? Do they take of space on the site or something? I don't know much about that kind of stuff.

I don't post very often but I read everyday several times a day...and throw in a comment or ask a question when I need to

When I first joined, I would rarely post. I mostly just read and said a few things here or there...only since we have been stationed in Georgia I have really started to be more active on here...so I dunno how you could really determine ones benefit of the site by something as variable as a post count.

If a member signed up over a year ago, has 0 posts, and continues to read the boards on a daily basis, that constitutes as trolling behavior. Just stating a possible scenario.

Maybe the people that have never posted just need info but don't feel the need to post.

I joined back in 2007 and was pretty active for a little while. But I couldn't keep up with posting on here then so I kind of dropped off the face MSOS. Thankfully though, when I needed info I could come here and search. And now that I'm up to posting again, I still have my username and all that jazz. I would have been a little

if I got "purged" out of the site.

Then why be a member? You can read most stuff as a guest.
