Hello, my name is Lee Dodd

, and I'm one of the two partners in Escalate Media. We are a small, but growing company that has a passion for online communities. We are not a mega corporation and really run things with our 10 or so full time employees as though we are a family. The members and staff of MilitarySOS have done a marvelous job in building MilitarySOS into such a valuable resource and community.

Escalate Media is delighted

to have the opportunity to become involved with MilitarySOS. We will look to the MilitarySOS community and moderators, as well as Brandi and her team, to guide our vision for the future of MilitarySOS. Escalate Media brings a good bit of technical and business resources which we hope can make MilitarySOS even stronger. Brandi, as you know, has committed to staying actively involved with the site, and we are looking forward to the continued growth and success of MilitarySOS!

For the members of MilitarySOS:

There are likely to be many questions regarding MilitarySOS and the recent purchase by Escalate Media. We wanted to help alleviate concerns as quickly as possible. The Q&A below should at least help offer some insight into things.

What motivated Escalate Media to buy MilitarySOS?
EM considered MSOS to be unique in terms of its position among military significant others, and has really blossomed into a solid community where great connections are made daily.

How will MilitarySOS be effected by the new ownership?
No significant changes are planned, as the site and community already function very effectively.

What type of changes can we anticipate to the MilitarySOS Web site in the future?
Brandi has some views as to where she wanted the site to be, and we desire to continue improving the site with the added resources of EM. However, no major change is foreseen.

In what ways will the Moderators be effected by the change of ownership of the site?
No changes are planned for the leadership of MilitarySOS and we would like them all to stay on board with us.

Will Brandi still be involved with MilitarySOS going forward? What role will he play?
Yes, Brandi will have an active role with MilitarySOS for a long time to come, largely unchanged from her current role (other than having more free time).

Are there any enhancements planned for the site in the future?
Not at this time. As Brandi has ideas for improvement we will look closely at working throuth them, but we have no intentions to make big enhancements any time soon.

Will we be moving servers soon?
I think within the next 1-2 weeks we will have our server manager move the site to a nice server. We like speedy sites and when we do a server move, we like to keep downtime to a minimum as well.

As most of you know, the transfer of ownership has been in the works for a
while now, and I'm very excited to make this announcement with our new
owner.

I think Lee covered most of the questions and concerns that I anticipated,
but we're both here to answer questions as they arise. Rest assured, I am
still here as Admin, and will continue to oversee the site with our
current Admin and Mod team. Our current team will remain intact and will
work side by side with Lee and his team, to provide all of you with an
even better MilitarySOS!

No big changes are planned, other than me having more time for my
deserving family

It will be a pretty seamless transition that I look
forward to making with our new owners who will take very good care of us.
