    Help me?

    Advertisements
I saw a recipe a while ago for like a twice baked potato thing. I remember it had cream cheese (or maybe it was sour cream) and lots of cheese. I figured with my new mastery of bacon, I would surprise my partner with it. I'm just wondering if it would turn out OK if I bake the potato, scoop out the middle, mush some butter and cream cheese and cheddar cheese and bacon all up in that, stuff it back in, and bake it again.

I have no instincts in the kitchen, so does anyone know if that would work out or fail miserably?

Also, how do you bake a potato?

MMm twice baked potatoes. They'll be deeeeeeeeeeeeeeelicious. Well except I'd do sour cream, cream cheese baked potatoes just sounds gross to me.

Sorry, I'm no help. I'm as cooking-challenged as you are

Poke holes in it with a fork, wrap it in a damp paper towel, and microwave it for about four minutes. That's how I bake my potatoes. After that you're on your own because I'm completely inept in the kitchen

Preheat your oven to like 400
    Wash and dry your potatoes
Brush some olive oil and salt on the skin
Poke some holes in them with a fork so they don't explode
    Bake for like an hour

    Either of these work fine.

I put my potatoes in steamer bags and steam them in the microwave for about 5-6 minutes. (Poke holes in first)

Thanks everyone. I haven't made the finished product yet, but I ate the extra filling and it was good
