What would you eat as a side dish for a Baked Penne meal?

I'm trying to meal plan this week without asking DH what he want's and i'm trying to plan it all myself and try new recipes... this is much needed! I such and it's time I buckle down and teach myself. So i'm curious what would be a good side dish with a baked penne meal.

Thanks ladies and if you want to throw out any good ideas for an easy meal (please make it VERY easy) that would be very much appreciated!

    UPDATE!

SO I got that figured out... Now I need to know what would you eat with Hawaiian Meatballs on rice... Would you do a side dish with this?

depends on the sauce of the meal....

ETA: i would probably do steamed broccoli or asparagus with garlic butter and texas toast.
Don't judge someone just because they sin differently than you.

Steamed broccoli and carrots, or corn, or green beans, etc. Any vegetable really.

Also a salad. Just greens and whatever salad stuff you like.

    Some sort of bread.

Well do you mean baked ziti? Like pasta, sauce, and cheese?

You could do steamed broccoli if you could saute it some garlic and olive oil.

I just found the recipe on pinterest. It has philadelphia italian cheese and herb cooking creme. Also has cheese and spaghetti sauce. And pasta of course!
