If it is just regular mashed potatoes with nothing fancy to them besides being smashed I say turkey gravy or county gravy! That is all I'd put on my mashed taters ever.
I almost always do Mashed potato casserole when I do mashed potatoes though.
In a 13x9 Casserole dish I put a layer of prepared mashed potatoes, then the middle layer is cheese normally mild cheddar, and then another layer of potatoes. Then sprinkle with more cheese and bacon bits(or even your own freshly cooked bacon that you rip/cut into tiny pieces yourself). Pop in a oven preheated to about 400 degrees till the cheese is nice is melted then pull it out and if you want add finely diced green onion(AKA chives).
