    what would you do?

today I found out that I might need yet ANOTHER ear surgery.

I have had 7 already before on the same thing…. Theres a 90% chance I will be able to hear normal again, but would you do it if you have been the 10% chance that it has not worked the last 7 times?

Im in such a dilemma with it.

Two years ago I said I would not do it again, but my mom says I should, my dad doesn't want to see me go through it once again.

The surgery consist of replacing my ear drum and my doctor wants to shave my ear canal so it is bigger (which is VERY painful).

    so what would you do?

How important is hearing better, to YOU? Your parents input is important, but ultimately, it is your body and your hearing.

ETA: Is it the same doctor who has done the last seven procedures? if so, find another doctor!

    Crystal covered it.

Are you happy with your hearing as it is now?
Could the surgery make it worse?
Are you seeing a different doctor?

Part of me is saying do it, it's 90% chance, the other part is like I'm done.

He is the one who has done the last 5, but he do also one of the best doctors to go to in America for it, so finding another doctor isn't an option.
