    Wife in restriction...

My wife went to restriction the other day after mast. Is there anybody that knows what type of contact there can be? If any. Can she receive letters? Weekly phone calls? Its killing me not knowing anything.

So she was taken/sent to Capt's mast or? How were you made aware of her being sent to restriction - meaning was she allowed to contact you and let you know or did someone from her command inform you or?

she went to legal and was advised by the lawyer to go to mast. the lawyer told her she would go to restriction, probably 3-4 weeks the most 45 days. we talked on the phone just before she went in. I talked to one of her rack mates and she told me she is, even though I had a feeling. Is there anything I can do? I've developed anxiety and panic attacks since she joined, and not hearing anything from her is making it worse.

When my husband went on restriction after mast, he was allowed to call me whenever he wasn't working or standing watch. He could use the computers too. I was allowed to visit on Wednesdays and Sundays. It will all depend on the command though. He was NOT allowed to come home and get stuff though, they sent someone to our apartment to pick up a bag of uniforms and toiletries. That, honestly, was the hardest part for me. He left that morning and didn't come back for 40 days...

but your wife should be able to find out what kind of contact is allowed, and she should still be able to call or email.

anything you can do?? No. But honestly, restriction isn't that bad. My Dh had time to read a lot, work out, play video games. The guys in his shop brought him treats and restaurant takeout pretty much everyday. Some of them drove me to base and escorted me to the ship so I could see him. I mean, unless your wife threw everyone under the bus and they all hate her now, its not going to be horrible. Mostly boring but the punishment isn't like being in the brig or anything.

My DH said she should be able to call you but she will need to stay on base and will be picking up extra duty.

it'll still be up to the command about allowing visit and stuff. I just asked my dh and he said she'll be living in the barracks while on restriction and will have to be escorts anywhere outside of them

Are you currently working with a clinician in regards to your anxiety and panic attacks? Are you on meds?
