Don't know what to do with myself

    Advertisements
I should be packing or finishing my 10 page paper that's due at midnight tonight, but instead I'm just staring off into space. I have absolutely no motivation to do either of those even though I need to get them done soon. I can't bring myself to start working on them. Any tips on getting my ass in gear?

I hate it when that happens. I have absolutely no advice, but to just set your mind to it and do it. I have a hard time motivating myself too sometimes. It sucks.

When that happens and I get super stuck, I set a series of alarms on my phone. 15 min, then 10 min later, then 15 min, etc.
Work for 15 min, play for 10. Repeat. Eventually I settle down and can concentrate on the work part so I turn them off but it sometimes takes like 4-5 cycles.

I set mini goals. Like, I'll work on it for 30 mins then I get to watch a few youtube videos (or whatever you like to do). Then work for another half hour.

I also set mini-goals. For every 30 minutes I work, I get 10 minutes of computer time or whatever I want to do that day.

GET YOUR BUTT IN GEAR, GIRL! GO! NOW!

    Did that help?
