    Help National Guard

    Advertisements
DF got activated with the national guard a couple of days ago. They keep changing how long he will be gone. Does anyone have experience or advice with any of this ? I have done deployments but this seems to be harder because I have no answers for anything plus it was all so sudden. He got a called and left with in a hour. Just wasn't ready and have no idea what to expect

We live in Colorado and he has been activated because of the flooding. So he is off doing stuff with that

OH! Well, all you can do is wait for him to come home He's off doing his job. I'm sure he'll contact you when he's able.

So first we were told a night or two. Then 7 to 10 days and now we are up to 20 more days. Just kinda sucks can't plan anything. Then I am worried if I plan our wedding then he gets activated what happens then ?? Ugh I thought the army was bad at letting you know what is going on

Yeah with things like that (and actually any deployment for anywhere) the length can be changed over and over again.

Yeah. It really just depends. I have a couple friends who worked 2-3 months after hurricanes.

I guess my biggest issue is deployments or training you know about when they are going to go and kinda prepare this was so fast and kind of unexpected the rain had stopped by the time they called we guessed they would have called days earlier
